I thought I'd share with you my Went-related injury I acquired today...
Near my work is a BIG "Prison Break"
billboard right there for me to look at everyday when I walk to the office – it's literally the BEST part of my day! Well today I was, as usual, staring up at Went and daydreaming instead of watching where I was going. I heard the beepbeepbeep of the walk signal and stepped out onto the road, except the beepbeepbeep was for the walk signal for crossing the OTHER road at the intersection; I had stepped out in front of moving traffic! There was some horn blaring and I stepped back quickly, tripped, threw my hand out to try to steady myself and whacked it HARD against the pole! It's totally bruised and swollen now – OUCH! It makes typing hard (amongst other things), but it was totally worth it for the eyeful of The Pretty.
In the end, the situation turned out to actual be kinda cool. I mean it hurt royally, but it garnered a lot of sympathy at work which resulted in me having to do less today :) Plus, there was a moment there just after it happened when I had to giggle because I was "Blinded by The Pretty!"
