The First Church was officially founded in November 2005 by Television Without Pity (TWoP) moderator Sobell as a place of worship for highly devoted fans of the actor, Wentworth “The Pretty” Miller.
The Church had its humble beginnings in the Wentworth Miller Actor’s Thread or "Pretty Central" as it was affectionately referred to by its followers. Due to The Pretty’s divine ability to incite outbursts of rabid Wentlust liable to scare off non-denominational forum members, a separate thread was created for parishioners by Sobell on November 2, 2005. After the Great TWoP Schism, a new house of worship was erected by Mink and Maichan in August 2006.
Our credo is one of tolerance (we tolerate The Pretty's fashion crises) and acceptance (we accept that we have to share our TV boyfriend with one another). Thereby, we warmly welcome all Prettyphiles to our congregation.
